Hangcha Group Breaks Ground on Thailand Manufacturing Base
On April 16, 2025, Hangcha Group held the groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing base in Chonburi, Thailand, marking a significant step in its global strategy to expand its footprint and strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and beyond.
Hangcha Group Thailand Manufacturing Co., Ltd. , with a USD 20 million investment, will focus on manufacturing forklifts, aerial work platforms, and lithium battery assembly. It is key to Hangcha’s strategy of smart manufacturing, new energy development, and global expansion, boosting production capacity and localized services.
Located in a major industrial development zone, the project covers over 35,000 square meters and includes a modern office building. Once completed, the facility will produce 10,000 units annually, including counterbalance forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Expected to be operational by the end of 2025, it will strengthen Hangcha’s global supply and delivery capabilities.
At the ceremony, Jason Wu, VP of Overseas Markets of Hangcha Group, stated, “This marks a key milestone in our global expansion. The Thailand manufacturing base represents our shift from exporting products to exporting capabilities, from ‘Made in China’ to ‘Made for the World.” He added, “Win-win cooperation is at the core of Hangcha’s culture. Whether in China or abroad, we’re committed to partnering closely with others. The Thailand plant embodies our deep integration with local resources and our commitment to sustainable global growth.”
The new Thailand base will not only expand capacity and optimize global supply chains but also serve as a key hub linking Southeast Asia to the world. It will enhance market responsiveness, customer service, and product competitiveness, boosting Hangcha’s global presence.
With this new chapter in global manufacturing, Hangcha is advancing confidently—driving smart, sustainable development and collaborating with partners worldwide to shape a shared future.
